This is an exciting opportunity to for an experienced acoustics consultant to work within the noise and acoustics team of this leading multidisciplinary consultancy. As an organisation they work across many industrial sectors including renewable energy, transportation schemes, and construction.
The role will require you to undertake noise monitoring, modeling and assessment works and be involved from the start to the completion of projects. You need to have the ability to liaise with clients, other team members and employees across the company in a bid to giving the best quality of service. You will also need to have experience of dealing with other third parties such as local authorities and transport consultants throughout the process.
Required Skills
You will be an established environmental acoustics professional, with extensive experience ideally within a consultancy environment. You will need experience of noise monitoring and assessment procedures and be able to demonstrate excellent report writing skills. It is essential that you are educated to degree level (or equivalent) with a first degree and/or masters qualification in Environmental Sciences or similar. As a senior consultant you will be involved in the mentoring and training of junior members of staff and have the ability to promote the business with both the internal and external clients. As the team is multi skilled, experience in air quality assessment work would be advantageous.

Multi-disciplinary planning, design and engineering consultancy that services the renewable energy and waste clients are looking to recruit an intermediate level or graduate engineer to join their team based in Chester. As part of this growing business you will be responsible for carrying out modelling and design using LSS, Microdrainage and AutoCAD on construction, landfill and water drainage projects. In addition to the design and modelling there is also the potential to undertake site investigations, material/soil assessments and report writing.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate should be qualified in Civil Engineering or Environmental Science at either HNC, HND or BSc level. You should have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience of AutoCAD and/or LSS (survey/modelling software), Microdrainage, Wind etc would be advantageous. Experience of liaison with regulators, clients, contractors, tender/contract management (ICE7 and/or NEC3), Bills of Quantities, Specifications and Health & Safety (CDM2007) would be particularly useful. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
